The international conference "Greening Modern Cities" 21.03.2025

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the international conference entitled "Greening Modern Cities - The Role of Green Roofs and Living Walls in the Context of City Adaptation to Climate Change". The event is organised by the Polish Green Roofs Association. The conference will be held stationary on 21.03.2025 in Warsaw (Poland) and will also be streamed online.

The programme includes:

·       presentation by a representative of the Climate Change Adaptation and Urban Policy Department of the Ministry of Climate and Environment;

·       presentation by a representative of the World Green Infrastructure Network on Nature Restoration Law in urban areas;

·       presentations on sustainable rainwater management in urban areas;

·       presentation on biosolar roofs;

·       presentation showing the latest trends in green architecture.

The aim of the conference is to present:

·       The best examples of green and green-blue infrastructure;

·       the latest research results;

·       programmes supporting the promotion and implementation of green infrastructure;

·       the latest green and green-blue infrastructure technologies.

This annual international event is dedicated to representatives of public administration, local governments, academics, architects, landscape architects, developers, construction companies, experts in the green roofs and green-blue infrastructure industry, journalists, students and all enthusiasts of the subject. All speeches will be simultaneously translated into Polish or English depending on the language of the speaker.

The conference received a lot of media attention. The media patrons include the monthly magazine "Zieleń Miejska", the thematic portals ZielonaInfrastruktura.pl and Greenroofs.com
